Tonight, my child is 1 month old. Her eyes are not fully rounded, why is that ??

1 Answer:

Hello Maran

Pupils are one part of the eyeball. The condition is not perfectly round pupils or the black part of the eyeball in medical terms is called colobomas. This is congenital / inborn from birth which is caused by imperfect eye development during pregnancy. However, to ensure the exact cause of your child's complaints, it should be examined directly by a doctor. The doctor will conduct a series of examinations to confirm the complaint. Some other causes of complaints include:

Horner's syndrome, a disease caused by damage to the nervous system Inflammation of the eye Abscesses or tumors in parts of the brain etc. If the child experiences complaints especially in vision then we strongly recommend that you take your child to the nearest eye doctor to get the right treatment
