11-month-old Babies Often Blink After Being Given A Cellphone?
my baby aged 11 months is often given a cellphoneAnd now if I see a cellphone it likes to blink, how is that? How to deal with it so that’s not anymore
Hello Relistaa Rista,
Adult blinking frequency ranges from 14-17 times / minute. The frequency of blinking children especially babies are generally lower than that. The frequency of excessive eye blinking in infants can be caused by the following things:
Eye irritation can be caused by dry air, allergies, ingrown eyelashes and so on
Eye strain, can occur in eyes that are forced to look closely for a long time, so the eyes experience fatigue
Impaired vision from refractive disorders, strabismus / squint, and so on
Tics, can cause twitching of the muscles around the eyes
Direct eye examination is needed to prove the presence or absence of causes of eye organs that cause complaints of excessive blinking. If there are abnormalities in the eye, other symptoms can also occur such as excessive watery eyes, excessive eye spots, red eyes, babies rubbing their eyes continuously, swelling in the eyelids. In these conditions, you should take the child to be examined by an ophthalmologist so that he can get the examination and treatment accordingly.
If only because of eye strain, try to stop using the cell phone for a while, if only because of fatigue in the eye, then the blinking complaint should be reduced. Avoid using fans or air conditioners that blow directly toward the child's face. Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
