16 Months Child’s Eyes Affected By Telon Oil?
Hi, I have a question. My 16 month old son accidentally got telon oil in his eye and cried. The first step I did was to wipe her eyes with a towel then rinse them with water a few times and then dry them. Right now his eyes looked normal as usual and didn’t look red. What should I do next?rnThank you,.
Hi Natashadilla.. Thank you for the questions given.
When viewed from the procedure for eye treatment that is exposed to chemicals, the first thing to do is to wash the eyes with running water for 15 minutes. Its function is to reduce chemical exposure to the eye, and neutralize pH. After that you can take the child to the doctor or to the hospital emergency room for an in-person examination. Side effects from eye exposure to chemicals differ depending on the type of substance in contact, how long the exposure is, how much fluid is in contact, and how deep the eye is affected. If not treated properly, it can infect the sclera, cornea, or conjunctiva.
If at this time there are no complaints in your child then you don't need to worry too much, but still monitor the condition of your child's eyes. And immediately consult an eye doctor if the eyes look red, watery, or the child feels pain.
Hope it is useful
