2-month-old Babies Are Fussy Accompanied By A Back Neck Feels Hot?
, my son is 2 months old, from yesterday I was fussy. Crying like pain when being taken to breastfeed. The worst thing was this morning. The back of my neck was hot, my parents are annoyed. What are my kids annoyed, how about the right handling. Afraid that the order of the midwife will be worse. Thank you
Hi Stefani, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Based on the complaints you describe, I suggest you should measure your baby's body temperature using a thermometer, if the body temperature in your child> 37.6 degrees Celsius is likely your child has a fever. Fever that occurs in infants / children can be caused by several things, including:
- bacterial infections, such as ear infections, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, etc.
- occurrence of viral infections, such as upper respiratory tract infections (ARI)
- hot air temperature
- Use clothes that are too thick
- post immunization
- teething process
- and others..
Some things you can do at home to help resolve complaints: keep giving the baby enough fluids, continue breastfeeding, take a warm bath, use comfortable and thin clothing, and often take baby temperature measurements with a thermometer.
If the complaint does not improve, then you should do an examination with a doctor. The doctor will conduct a short interview, physical examination and additional examination (supporting examination) if needed. The doctor will also do the appropriate treatment to help resolve the complaints that you feel.
If you experience complaints such as high fever, seizures in children, signs of dehydration (weakness, no appetite, sunken eyes, no tears when crying), decreased awareness, then I recommend to immediately see a doctor.
