2 Year Olds Snore While Sleeping?
My child is 2 years 9 months why does he start snoring while sleeping?
During sleep, all muscles in the human body experience relaxation. Muscle becomes more loose. The condition also occurs in the tongue muscles, and muscles in the throat area. The sagging muscles, causing the tongue to fall backward, cover part of the throat cavity. In some people, the throat cavity is almost completely covered by the tongue and makes snoring sounds.
In addition, there is a pair of tonsils in the throat (tonsils). When both tonsils become inflamed and enlarged, they can cover the throat cavity and cause symptoms of snoring. Sometimes snoring can disrupt the quality of sleep a person becomes sleepy. Of course this has a negative impact on children's growth.
Consult this with a pediatrician. The doctor will examine and find the cause of snoring. If action is needed, the doctor will give the appropriate advice.
Thus my answer, hopefully enough help. Regards.
