3 Month Old Baby’s Eyes Looking Up Continuously?
I want to ask, my baby is 3 months old from 1 month old, his eyes often see above like someone invites him to play from abovernDo you think it’s a problem for his eyes or can he cross his eyes and how do you deal with it
Good evening Ratna, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Crossed eyes, or in medical terms called strabismus, is a condition in which the focus of the two eyes is not the same, generally due to poor eye muscles. There are various causes of crossed eyes, including genetics or heredity, babies born prematurely, head injuries, nearsightedness, cataracts or Down syndrome, a condition of certain congenital abnormalities.
But regarding your case, looking up often is not one of the causes of cross-eyed eyes. In a child who is only 3 months old, of course there are many things that are still very interesting for him. Maybe cobwebs on the ceiling could be a new thing for him. Your child may also have just discovered that when he moves his eyeballs, he can see things other than just looking straight. So, your child's condition is most likely only one phase of his development. As long as your child's eyes can return to normal, and the focus of both eyes is still the same, there's nothing to worry about.
