3 Month Old Child’s Hands And Feet Are Pale After Bathing?
My son is 3 months old. Some days, sometimes when after a shower, how come his hands and feet are pale. Even though he used hot water, why is that?
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Paleness in the fingers and toes indicates a lack of blood flow to these areas. This lack of blood flow can be triggered by:
Cold temperatures Lack of vitamins or minerals Lack of blood or anemia Infectious conditions
In the case of your child, even though the water is warm, if left or bathed for too long, the water temperature will drop and your baby will still feel cold. It could also be that the cold condition that your baby feels is not during the bath, but when after the bath it is not immediately dried or dressed immediately. What is clear, your baby should not be malnourished if you routinely give him exclusive breastfeeding.
However, if you are still worried, and your child's paleness is getting worse, take your child to a pediatrician for further examination. Meanwhile at home, continue to breastfeed your child, keep him warm because babies can't handle body heat as well as adults, and pay attention to his physical condition if he looks weak, inactive and the like. I hope you and your family are always healthy.
That's all, hope it helps.
