Most babies will be able to roll over at 3 to 5 months of age. However, there are also a small number of babies who can only lie on their stomach when they are 5 to 7 months old. Therefore, the condition that your baby is experiencing is not necessarily an abnormality. When viewed from the weight, your baby's growth is still relatively normal for his age.
Lack of stimulation is often a major factor in developmental delays in infants. Therefore, to help your baby learn to lie on his stomach, you should take him to play more often. Try to stimulate him to prone by placing his favorite object or toy out of reach. Make the stimulation something fun, not intimidating, let alone exhausting. Do the stimulation according to the child's condition, for example when the child is full and not sleepy. There is no need to compare your child's developmental achievements with other people's children, because they can vary.
In addition to prone, 7-month-old babies are generally adept at holding their head up straight and supporting their weight when standing up. Babies will also enjoy playing peek-a-boo. As long as your baby still seems active, showing other good aspects of development (both aspects of speech, fine motor, and socio-emotional), then there's no need to worry. Do the stimulation as described above consistently.
If until the age of 9 months your baby is still not proficient, then you can check your baby directly to a pediatrician, sub-division of growth and development. The doctor will evaluate the possibility of other causes of developmental delays, for example due to cerebral palsy, cognitive disorders, and so on.
Hope it helps ya..
