7 Month Old Baby Can’t Stand Up Straight?
.. My son’s age is about to enter 7 months but when he stands up his legs can’t stand upright.. What do you think he is??
Hi Erika Deana, thanks for the question for HealthReplies.com
The development of each baby can be different. At the age of 7 months, babies should be able to roll over on their own from the prone position to the supine and vice versa, crawl, or crawl. At this age, some babies are able to hold their feet upright when held to stand, but in some babies, these motor skills can only be mastered at the age of 9 months.
For now, you don't have to worry if your baby can't hold his legs straight when he is standing. You can help strengthen your baby's leg muscles by holding your baby up on the mat or on your stomach (while you're lying down) and letting him move his legs kicking the mat or your belly. You can hold your baby while lifting your baby up and down (like jumping) so that your baby can feel the mat on the soles of his feet. This activity will train the baby to later be able to stand on his own and walk. Give more time on the mattress for your baby, let your baby explore the surrounding environment, and make sure your baby is away from dangerous objects (such as sharp table edges, electric plugs, household cleaning chemicals, and so on).
If until the age of 9 months your baby has not been able to hold his legs upright while being held up, you can consult with your pediatrician for further examination.
That's all the information from me, hopefully it's enough to answer
