7 Months Old Baby Weight?
At night I want to ask … my child is 7 months old and yesterday I weighed 6.8 using an adult’s scale. Is my child’s weight still normal ??? But my child is very active, it’s just that in my opinion, his weight is not like other children of my age. Thank you.
Infants aged 7 months are on average able to sit on their own and some begin to learn to crawl. A 7 month baby usually gains 450-550 grams of weight. For boy babies, the normal weight for a 7 month baby is around 7-10 kg with a length of about 65-73 cm. Whereas for a 7 month baby girl, her weight is around 6-9.5 kg with a length of about 63-71 cm.
You can see whether your baby's weight is normal or not through the KMS / health card. As long as your baby is active and is developing well (you can see the development of the baby in the MCH books / books on maternal and child health), then you don't need to worry.
If the baby's weight has not increased for 3 consecutive months or the baby's weight has decreased, you should consult your doctor directly so that further evaluation can be done and given the necessary treatment. We recommend that you continue to breastfeed the baby as much as you want (it can be 3-4 hours), and provide complementary foods that are healthy, nutritious, and according to the age of the baby.
