A Bump Appears On The Baby’s Back Head?
Good night. I want to ask about my baby who is 1 year old. I used to have bumps in the lower head near the neck and I thought it was just a lump of sweat, but lately I accidentally stroked the head on the back of the lump, and I still held it like it! ” that part is the color of the bump like the color of the scalp. Please explain because I’m afraid it’s dangerous. Thank you again
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
The appearance of a lump in the lower part of the baby's head, close to the ears and neck, whose consistency is chewy and does not go away for a long time is probably caused by the following conditions:
Skin infections, for example folliculitis, acne, warts, abscesses Benign or malignant tumors of the skin, for example lipomas, cysts, fibroma Lymphadenopathy (enlarged lymph nodes) Skin tags (excessive skin growth due to repeated friction or irritation) Normal variations of the skull bone Tumors originating from other tissues around the head, and so on. Given the time of appearance that has been a long time a lump in the head of your baby should be checked directly to the doctor or pediatrician. It is feared, this lump comes from a disorder that needs to be treated immediately by a doctor so it does not develop into a malignant. Some types of examinations, for example X-rays or biopsies may be done by a doctor so that the cause of the lump can be identified properly.
For now, you can focus on maintaining your baby's personal hygiene, especially the head and neck area, which is by regularly bathing, washing hair, and also giving him clean clothes. Avoid pressing, sorting, or giving any treatment to the lumps that appear before consulting directly with the doctor. If the baby seems to scratch it often, give him a good understanding so that his actions do not cause injury to the lump. Also diligently wash the baby's hands and shorten the nails so that there is no secondary infection in the lump on the head. Finally, give your baby healthy and nutritious breast milk and MPASI so that the immune system is maintained properly.
Hope this helps ...
