A Lump Appears On The Back Like A Small Pimple Over Time, Enlarging Like A Boil?
I want to ask on my back a few months ago it grew like a pimple, I thought it was normal and gradually got bigger. It doesn’t hurt, but if I lean back over time or lift the bag which causes it to rub directly against it, it will hurt, why huh?
Hello Altius, Thank you for the question.
Acne is a skin problem caused by clogging of hair follicles by oil and dead skin cells. This blockage of hair follicles can be followed by a bacterial infection, causing inflammation in the surrounding area. Bacteria can continue to grow so that the body reacts by accumulating white blood cells in the area and the surrounding tissue inflammation process continues. It is due to this ongoing inflammatory process that a lump forms. Over time pus will form along with the dead tissue so that this lump becomes soft, forming an abscess. Apart from an abscess, the body can also react by forming a sac filled with fluid or what is called a cyst. These cysts can form from oil glands (sebaceous cysts) or from skin tissue (epidermoid cysts).
To determine the cause of the lump on your back, an examination by a doctor is needed directly. Please check with your doctor. The doctor will ask again about your complaint and check the lump in question before determining the next treatment for you. Please avoid breaking the lump and keep the skin around it clean and dry.
Hope this helps.
