A Lump In The Right Back Accompanied By Pain?
Good afternoon doctor .. My name is Kiki (female) 31 years old. What I want to ask the doctor is … just recently, it has like a little bump on the right upper back. At first as little prickly heat continues there is 1 black hair / feather growing. A few months later a long time hurts u0026amp; enlarged pain area. Like skin prickled by thorns. The area around the feather is painful u0026amp; slight itching. Skin color is normal, normal. Am I sick, doctor? Is it a doctor? Thank you doctor ..
Hello Kiki, Thank you for the question.
Your complaint may be folliculitis. Folliculitis is inflammation of the hair follicles (where hair grows) caused by bacterial infections. This condition causes the appearance of red bumps like pimples, these lumps can contain pus and feel painful or itchy. In general, this condition is not dangerous but if left untreated can cause a more widespread infection. Widespread bacterial infection can cause abscess formation under the skin. An abscess is a collection of pus that results from resistance from white blood cells in the body. The skin area around the formation of this abscess can become reddish and painful. You should immediately see a doctor directly. The doctor needs to examine the lump directly you intend to determine the cause. If it is caused by an abscess, the doctor will look for further treatment which can be in the form of antibiotics alone or cleaning the abscess by performing a small surgical procedure with an incision in the skin to remove this pus.
For a while, you can do a warm compress on the lump. Avoid trying to break the lump.
I hope this helps.
