A Sense Of Piercing When You Bend The Knee After The Tide Cap Kneecap?
November 26th, I fell down and broke my kneecap / broken into 3 parts. Then I operated with a pair of pen. Until yesterday, everything was fine … even I could be as normal as usual … I could squat for a while, up and down the stairs by holding on. then tb2 if I bend my knee feels like there is a wire piercing. this happens if I bend my knee … I have arrived until this complaint and has been X-rayed too. My doctor said there was no change in the locker … the result was still in a good position and bone sdh perfect perfect .. Doctors give options for removal of pen..pdhl only 4 months..is it really safe? Is my bone ok even though it’s only 4 months old? The pain now is I can hold it by not bending my legs suddenly … I slide until there is a nice position to bend … how? Please advise
Good evening, thanks for the question
A fairly common complication following a patellar fracture is a wire implant that will become more painful over time, especially when kneeling. Because this condition is also not uncommon for a second operation to remove the metal implant. Although according to some literature generally the procedure for removing metal implants is done at least one year after the first operation, but it returns to the condition of each patient which can be different from one another. If it is assessed by doctors who are experts in their fields required such action at this time, then it is not impossible to do. We recommend that you consult with an orthopedic surgeon who handles for further action plans.
That's all, hope you can help
