Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The ultrasound that you gave, gave the following results. Ren, or your kidneys are normal size, with the appearance of normal tissue. The pelvicocalyces system is one part of the kidney which is directly related to the urinary tract. For simplicity, you can see the system with the area circled in green in the image below.
In this area, there is the possibility of more than one kidney stone. Kidney stones, also called nephrolithiasis, can form when a hard material comes from the residue of waste substances in the blood that settles and crystallizes over time. People with kidney stones that are large enough, usually have symptoms such as frequent urination, pain when urinating, back pain, lower back or groin, cloudy urine color, gravel discharge when urinating and bad-smelling urine.
Among the factors that increase the risk of kidney stones are:
Lack of drinking water
Are overweight or obese
Drug side effects
Too much consumption of foods that contain protein and purines
Have a family history of similar complaints
Have a history of urinary tract infections
The handling of this condition varies depending on the size of the stone, the number of stones, the constituents of the stone, and the location of the stone. Among the treatment options can be as simple as taking medication and drinking more water, it can also be shooting the stone with sound waves or by surgery. These options will also be adjusted according to the patient's health condition at that time. So our advice is to discuss with your urologist what option is best for you, and in the meantime, keep drinking plenty of water, don't refrain from urinating, and avoid foods that contain stone-forming ingredients, such as nuts, spinach, sweet potatoes, chocolate, sardines, asparagus and grapes. We wish you and your family good health.
That's all, hope it helps.
