Accelerate The Healing Of Cut Wounds?
hello 2 days ago I was hit by a deep knife, but when I wanted to clean up there was a clot of blood that had dried and started to turn black, to clean it I was scared: what should I do?
How deep and long are the knife cuts? The process of wound healing can be different in each person depending on the location of the wound, the size and depth of the wound, the treatment given, and the health status of the person (there are comorbidities such as diabetes or not, age, nutrition).
To help speed up wound healing, you can do the following tips:
Wash hands before treating the wound
Clean the wound with clean water
You may use NaCl liquid if any, if there isn't any, just use clean water
Keep the wound dry
Dry the wound with sterile gauze and give antibiotic ointment if available
If the wound is wide enough or at risk of dust / dirt, cover the wound with sterile gauze. Change bandages regularly
If the wound is small, no need to cover the gauze
Increase consumption of healthy and nutritious foods that are balanced and high in protein
If the wound is deep enough, I would rather consult a doctor directly so that further examination can be done to ascertain the condition of the wound and provide more appropriate treatment. If the wound is still "new" if enough in the doctor can sew the wound, if there is no need for stitches, the doctor is sufficient to provide wound care and medicines consumed at home. Drugs can be with painkillers and antibiotics if necessary to prevent infection in the wound.
Hope it helps you,
