Accustomed To Swiping Feet To Objects That Are Near The Feet?
In the morning, I want to ask. Since I was a child until I grew up, I have a habit of moving one foot, more precisely I like to swipe my feet to the bed at bedtime, or when relaxing on the couch. I only feel comfortable when rubbing my feet against these objects. That’s all I experienced, in my sleep observations, I didn’t kick someone during sleep and also there were no serious symptoms caused, such as muscle cramps or something else, I just felt comfortable doing that without me knowing it. Are these symptoms also included with u0026ldquo; Restless Leg Syndrome u0026rdquo; or is this just a habit since childhood? Thank you.
Restless leg syndrome or RLS is a neurological movement disorder in the foot that is often associated with sleep disorders. Someone with this disorder often complains of an unbearable desire to move the foot (without accompanied by pain), this condition can be very disturbing and can cause excessive physical and emotional disturbance.
If your complaint does not cause interference and there is no excessive urge to move your foot for no apparent reason (you move your foot because it feels comfortable) then chances are that your condition is not caused by RLS but just habit. However, if the condition causes physical or emotional disturbances, you should consult a neurologist or mental health specialist to ascertain the cause of your complaint and get proper treatment if necessary.
