Activities That Can Cause Joint Dislocation?
can excessive dance practice cause dislocation ????
Hello Hoshi, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Dislocation is the occurrence of loose joints between two bones. Dislocations actually occur most often because of high-energy impact, for example due to accidents, falls while exercising, or hitting hard when exercising. Dancing is basically not an activity that has a high risk of joint dislocation, excessive dancing also will not cause joint dislocation. However, dislocations can still occur in dancers for example if there is a movement that forces the hand or foot to move in an odd position, or if it falls from a height when making certain formations.
Some people are born with certain genetic disorders where joint ligaments / tissues are indeed looser so that the joints are more prone to dislocation, for example hyperpermobility syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome, etc. People who have these conditions have a very wide joint space so it is easier to experience dislocation.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
