Caring for dental and oral hygiene must be done every day in the right way. In addition, maintaining a drinking diet should also be done to avoid problems such as tartar, cavities, inflammation of the gums, and so on. Dental care should be carried out routinely with control to the dentist every 6 months. The dentist will evaluate when there is control of tartar, caries, or other problems that need to be addressed immediately. Regarding additional treatments such as bleaching, you should ask your dentist about it. The doctor may give a distance of several weeks after scaling, to do bleaching. After scaling, there will usually be a portion of the gums pushed down, causing a sense of slight pain. Therefore, maybe the doctor will wait a few weeks for the pain to subside.
Tartar is caused by plaque that is left over from food that accumulates and then calcifies (hardens). Over time, tartar may still form even if someone maintains good dental hygiene. However, if you maintain dental hygiene, tartar formed may only be minimal. Meanwhile, if you do not maintain cleanliness at all, certainly tartar will be very heavy and broad. You can do the following to prevent tartar piling up too much:
Brush your teeth at least 2 times a day, or after every meal. Brush the outer teeth with the direction of movement up and down, not back and forth. Also clean between the teeth. Use dental floss to remove leftover food between your teeth. Gargle with antiseptic fluid if necessary. Chew with both sides of the jaw. Consumption of foods that contain lots of vitamins and minerals. Avoid cigarettes, caffeine, and alcohol. Hopefully this information can add to your insight. Regards.
