After The Normal CT Scan, There Were Vomiting Symptoms?
Last week I slipped and hit my head hard on the floor then I went to the doctor and had a ct scan, the doctor said everything was normal but there was a slight lump, if 1-2 days I experienced vomiting then I had to go back for another ct scan. . But after 4 days after the ct scan I still feel dizzy and I vomit, do I have to have another ct scan? Is this dangerous?
Hello Charlene, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
In general, bleeding into the head does occur in the first 1-2 days after a head injury. However, in rarer cases, bleeding into the head can occur more slowly, up to 15 days after head injury. If you do have symptoms such as a severe headache, vomiting, severe dizziness, other symptoms such as visual disturbances, decreased consciousness, or other neurological symptoms, you should immediately go to the hospital for another CT scan.
Even though it could be bleeding into the head with a late onset, your vomiting may be caused by other things too, such as gastrointestinal infections, constipation, colitis, or other digestive problems, vertigo, migraines, etc. Therefore it is a good idea to have yourself checked back to the doctor to ascertain the cause of your symptoms.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
