After normal delivery, women often experience tears in the perineum, either as a result of the natural process of labor or also because of an episiotomy. This tear can be repaired by suturing. What is generally used in this suturing process is absorbable, that is, it can be absorbed by the body by itself, so there is no need to remove the stitches. The time generally required for this healing process can range from 1 to 4 weeks.
In very rare conditions, it is possible to find people who are allergic to suture sutures in the perineum. Allergies are usually characterized by itching, redness, swelling, and sores that don't heal. However, in addition to allergies, there may also be obstacles to the healing process of your perineal suture marks caused by other triggers, such as excessive mobility, infection, immune disorders, malnutrition, and so on.
Because the cause is not clear, we recommend that you get your condition checked by a gynecologist. With direct evaluation, doctors can generally determine the best steps that need to be taken. Avoid using any medication or solution to clean your intimate area before consulting a doctor directly. The use of drugs or solutions that are not right in the vaginal area has the potential to trigger irritation which can make your complaint worse. You only need to clean your intimate area first using clean and good quality water. Always keep your sex organs dry and wear clean, loose, soft pants.
