Always Thinking About Bad Things?
Afternoon, want to ask. At the age of 16 after entering high school, I began to occupy myself by joining organizations, seminars, competitions, and so on. But I don’t know why since high school, I often imagine something bad. For example, when I see a knife I always imagine, ‘what if the knife hits my hand’ then my mind will imagine my hand being sliced by a knife and covered in blood. But that is not fear. Only a thought that crosses. But I don’t know why, thoughts are always sadistic, or with regard to injury, death, accidents etc. There is a friend of mine who says that it’s a result of stressful thoughts and so on. Please explain more specifically. Is it true that I have a mental disorder? Please explain
Anxiety or think something bad will happen is actually a natural thing and sometimes can protect ourselves from danger. Because of anxiety and fear, we become more alert and avoid dangerous things. However, if anxiety disrupts daily life, for example until it cannot learn well, cannot move, and causes limitations such as being afraid to go out of the house or not doing something, maybe Aisya is indeed experiencing psychiatric disorders.
Psychiatric disorders that may be anxious disorders, but still needs further evaluation. The ordinary thing that Aisya experienced was only due to outside influences, such as watching or reading films that contained elements of violence.
At present, if Aisya is very disturbed, Aisya can ask Aisya's parents to take her to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will help Aisya, by conducting a psychiatric interview in advance to determine Aisya's mental status. If needed, the psychiatrist will provide psychotherapy and medication to ease these thoughts.
To avoid scary thoughts, Aisya can concern herself with positive activities. If you see dangerous objects, switch it by thinking about its function instead of thinking it can harm Aisya.
