Am I Having Tonsillitis?
In the afternoon, I didn’t feel well since June 12th, and I have the flu. Already taking medicine but coughing increasingly. The body is always limp. 3 days back I began to feel pain in the 2 sides of the base of the tongue whether it’s tonsil or not. But every day since 8 days ago my body is less fit. Am I having tonsillitis?
Hello Fputri99, Thank you for the question.
Inflammation of the tonsils is inflammation of the tonsils that can be caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Some viruses that can cause tonsillitis also cause coughs and colds (rhinovirus) or flu (type A influenza virus). Tonsils or tonsils are two small glands located behind the oral cavity, at the base of the throat. Inflammation of the tonsils will cause symptoms of swollen tonsils, sore throat, fever, cough, headache, hoarseness.
To ascertain the cause of your complaint a doctor needs direct examination. If your complaint continues to this day, you should consult a doctor. The doctor will ask about your complaints and do a check on you to determine the cause. After ascertaining the cause, the new doctor can determine further treatment for you.
Please do the following suggestions:
get enough rest
consume foods that are nutritionally balanced
meet the needs of body fluids by consuming water
gargle with salt water to reduce sore throat
I hope this helps.
