, I want to ask … what about the antiseptic medicine (Detol) in the bath to rinse your mouth – how about it?
Hello, good afternoon Rinta.
An antiseptic solution is not recommended to use for rinsing, even if the antiseptic solution has been dissolved in water (for example, into bath water). The antiseptic liquid that you mentioned contains chloroxylenol which can irritate the inner lining of the mouth if used repeatedly and routinely. More dangerous conditions can also occur if the liquid is swallowed. Therefore, this antiseptic solution is only recommended for external use (for body hygiene only). We recommend that you use plain water to rinse your mouth.
If you or your family members currently experience complaints in the form of numbness on the tongue, tongue numbness, dry sensation, burning, and sore throat, immediately consult a doctor.
I hope this helps.
Greetings, dr. Denisa
