Appropriate Handling For Knees That Feel Shifted After Exercise?
I am Gessa, a man aged 30When badminton exercises suddenly his left leg for the knee is like shifting the friction to the right, causing a slight pain during the event. Then I went to the renowned physiotherapist chiropractor (H. ebun) in the Bandung city area. At present I can walk normally without pain, but at certain activities such as: * go up the stairs too high * when bending my legs to the buttocks * from stand up to sit on the floor wrong pedestal. All the cases above cause friction again u0026amp; pain. Countermeasures given by the physiotherapist are only a few stretching movements so that they return to normal as follows: * Sit under the foot position straight ahead u0026amp; reach the tip of the toe with your hand * Bend the injured leg while sleeping slowly in scal 15 seconds. Medication from physiotherapist: * topical brand “JointFit ” drug because it must always heat the injured part * Use of Knee Stabilizer * Amino intake from diet pattern * Consumption of Kasium Pills * Low protein intake from low fat. Questions: 1. Is my physiotherapist’s actions correct? 2. Do Medicines u0026amp; steps to recover from my physiotherapist right? Thx Doc please help u0026amp; its enlightenment.
Good morning Gessa, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Knee that feels shifted can occur due to an abnormality in one of the supporting structures of knee movement, as shown in the image below.
As you can see, there are so many components that are incorporated in the movement of the knee. So it is not easy to find out the origin of your complaint without a direct inspection. There are certain maneuvers that should be tried on your knee to know which parts are actually disturbed. In fact, this condition is not uncommon to be ascertained by investigations such as X-rays and CT-scans.
So what we want to say, we can not correct whether the therapist's actions are correct or not because we do not check you directly. What is clear, a chiropractor is not the same as a bone specialist, and obviously more incompetent than a bone specialist. So we suggest, since you have already tried therapy with the chiropractor and so far your complaint still exists, you should check your condition again with your orthopedic doctor for further examination and treatment.
In the meantime, limit the activities that trigger these complaints to you. Reduce weight if overweight, do not jump around or run first, consume over-the-counter pain relievers when they are painful, and consult a doctor immediately. So, hopefully answering your question.
