Appropriate Treatment In Patients With Abdominal Trauma When Experiencing Bleeding?
I want to ask, my brother had an accident with abdominal trauma. Appropriate treatment for abdominal trauma patients if they experience bleeding
Trauma management depends on who is handling it. Are ordinary people or people with medical and health education. Of course there are limits regarding handling procedures, if the layman handles it. Likewise the location, situation, and conditions, also determine what actions can be taken. In principle, actions that can be taken when any trauma occurs are:
Make sure the situation is safe for rescuers
Move the victim to a safer location. Lift the victim by keeping the back straight with the neck and head. Don't shake and pull the victim.
Check the patient's consciousness by calling, patting, or pinching. If the patient is unconscious, check the pulse in the neck for 10 seconds and check the presence or absence of breathing. If there is no pulse and breathing, do a heart massage according to the proper rules of resuscitation, 30 times a heart massage interrupted with 2 breaths.
If the victim is conscious, check whether the victim is breathing properly. Clean the blood and foreign objects from the nose and mouth.
Check whether there is external bleeding. Press the location of bleeding with a cloth. Do not tie the body parts around the wound, because it can cause tissue death.
Immediately send the victim to the hospital.
Intraabdominal bleeding will be treated at the hospital.
That's all my explanation, hopefully it's useful. Regards.
