Are Bloated And Broken Burns Still Treated With Bioplacenton?
my hand was initially hit by steam and then swollen and skin peeled off
Hello Winda Susviany,
Burns can occur due to thermal exposure, such as being scalded, exposed to fire, exposed to hot surfaces, hot steam. Burns can also occur in electrical trauma, radiation, and trauma of certain chemicals. Burns can be divided into 3 degrees namely:
First degree burns
Damage only to the epidermis (outermost layer of skin)
Can occur for example due to sunburn, doused with water that is not too hot
Skin appears reddish, sore, mild swelling can occur
Second degree burns
Damage occurs to the dermis
Skin redness, pain, liquid-filled bubbles formed in the skin, if the bubbles burst, it will appear the dermis which is rich in blood vessels and sores that look wet.
Third degree burns
Damage to subcutaneous tissue (under the skin), can reach the muscles, until the bones can be seen
The tissue appears brownish yellow, the white parts look like wax, or the black tissue appears. If the nerve is damaged, the patient feels no pain at all.
The first treatment of burns is by pouring the wound under running water for 10-15 minutes.
For first-degree burns, it can generally heal by itself without any treatment. You can apply aloe vera gel, antibiotic ointment, and take pain medications if necessary. After a few days (3-7 days) the skin will dry and peel, then recover without leaving a trace. Third-degree burns require medical treatment and advanced therapy such as skin grafts to cover the loss of all layers of skin tissue.
Second-degree burns (with bubbles) should not deliberately break the skin bubbles at home (let them burst on their own). Second-degree burns can be treated with burn ointments, antibiotic ointments, and with good burn care to minimize scars. The wound environment is created slightly damp to trigger the growth of skin tissue. Bioplacenton is a gel topical type of burn medicine. Bioplacenton contains placenta extract and antibiotic neomycin sulfate. The content can trigger tissue growth and prevent infection in burns. Bioplacenton is recommended to be applied 4-6 times a day to burns. When the bubble bursts, you will see a pink skin with few blood spots, bioplacenton is still applied to the wound.
If there are extensive burns, on the facial area, on the fingers, on the genitals, burns in children, third degree burns, the patient has decreased consciousness after the burn, must be immediately taken to a health facility to get an examination and handling.
Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
