Hello samsul,
Thank you for the question.
Colds are most often caused by inflammation of the nasal cavity (rhinitis), for example due to allergies, drug side effects, irritation, viral or bacterial infections. Not only that, colds can also occur due to nasal passage of foreign objects, nasal polyps, nasopharyngeal cancer, nasal septal deviation, immune disorders, sensitivity to certain drugs, sinusitis, and many other triggers.
Colds alone actually do not typically refer to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) which is currently endemic. Typically, COVID-19 will make sufferers experience fever, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath that is quite heavy. Therefore, it is also not certain that you need to undergo an examination for COVID-19 detection. The doctor who examined you, with his competence and experience, would certainly understand more about the examination and treatment of what is necessary and unnecessary to resolve your complaint. So, go for the treatment as suggested by your doctor. If it hasn't healed, you can check it back to the doctor or the nearest ENT doctor.
I hope this helps.
