Are Hemorrhagic Stroke And Stroke Stroke The Same?
I want to ask, is it the same between stroke and hemorrhagic stroke? or different, what’s the difference?
Hello Ita Sari,
The thing I need to confirm first is, where do you hear or read the two terms? To our knowledge, strokes are divided into two types, namely ischemic stroke or non-hemorrhagic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. We don't know the term stroke stroke.
The possibility of this term is an abbreviation made by the treating doctor, to facilitate writing when recording on the patient's medical record. Sometimes, doctors have special terms or abbreviations that are used personally to facilitate writing. It is possible that PIS means Intra-Cerebral Bleeding. If so, the PIS stroke and hemorrhagic stroke are the same.
Hemorrhagic stroke means a stroke due to tearing of the blood vessels of the brain, resulting in bleeding in the brain tissue or under the lining of the brain. Generally, hemorrhagic strokes occur due to chronic uncontrolled hypertension.
Please consult further with the treating doctor to get more detailed information. Hopefully this answer can help. Regards.
