Are There Any Negative Effects When Re-vaccinating Hepatitis B?
, whether the Hepatitis B vaccine can be done again as an adult, because I do not know, whether I have the vaccine / blm. But I want to do the Hepatitis B vaccine again. Can I? Is it dangerous or not if it turns out that I already had the Hepatitis B vaccine?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically conducting a hepatitis B vaccination is highly recommended, especially if you are not sure you have received a hepatitis B vaccine before (when you were a child) or you have risk factors such as:
have sexual partners who suffer from hepatitis B
live 1 house with hepatitis B sufferers
have a history of changing sexual partners or having partners who have changed sexual partners
people who have shared needles with others
health workers or laboratory workers who have a higher risk of contact with hepatitis B virus
people who want to travel to areas where the hepatitis B rate is very high
Even if it turns out when you were a child you had already gotten a hepatitis B vaccine, re-vaccinating it will not have a negative impact on your body. If you are in doubt, you can consult with your doctor to do a hepatitis B antibody test to find out whether you already have immunity to the hepatitis B virus (whether due to illness or due to vaccination) or not. If indeed you do not have immunity against the hepatitis B virus, then giving a 3-dose vaccination is recommended.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
