Ask About The Symptoms Of Covid-19
Hello doc, I want to ask .. so for a few days I have a cold and it makes it hard for me to breathe 4 days backward because it seems like something is blocking my throat and nose. Sometimes it also coughs or I deliberately cough so that nothing is up in my throat. But I have no symptoms of fever and fatigue. I also have no history of long trips or contact with people who have just traveled far, but on Friday 2 weeks ago I still came to campus before there was an appeal for social distancing. Is there any possibility that covid-19 symptoms or not dock? So that I can find out later about the dock .. Thank you very much in advance doc ..
Hello Anastasya ...
Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com, I try to help answer yes ...
Corona virus or also called Covid-19 is a virus that infects the respiratory tract. Symptoms arising from this virus in general, namely:
- Fever more than 38 degrees centigrade
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath in more severe circumstances
This virus spreads quickly and can attack anyone, both from newborns to the elderly. Corona virus can be spread as follows:
- close contact with covid-19 sufferers such as touching or shaking hands
- Inhaling cough splashes or sneezing from covid-19 sufferers
- accidentally holds the mouth, nose and eyes without washing hands first.
This virus has an incubation period of 14 days starting from the time you are exposed to the virus, if you do not feel exposed to people with monitoring (suspect) or people with supervision (suspect) but you have similar complaints such as fever, coughing, runny nose. You should rest at home until you recover, do social distancing, increase your body's immunity by way of nutritious food, fulfilling the minimum fluid requirements of 2L per day, taking immune-boosting vitamins. Be diligent in washing hands especially if you are going to hold the face area, take the medicine in accordance with your complaints and after the recommended use of the drug, wear a mask in the peace and when you see a doctor.
In situations where the corona virus is spreading rapidly, if not accompanied by needs and urgency you should stay at home, or take care of yourself so that you are not exposed to the virus, if there are complaints such as sore throat that gets worse for more than 2 weeks, accompanied by fever more than 38 degrees Celsius, coughing, colds that do not heal, until there is a feeling of tightness or difficulty breathing, even though you have tried to take medicine, then you should check yourself to the doctor, for further examination.
Thus my answer, hopefully it helps
