In general, how old does the amniotic fluid decrease? r nPregnancy I was diagnosed with Oligohydramnios on May 14 yesterday and I was advised to have a caesarean on May 17, but I refused. Finally, I moved doctors and on June 1, tomorrow I was advised to do an induction to my baby. R nI forgot the day of my last menstruation so I can’t confirm the age of my pregnancy. My question is what is the reaiko from the induction action to my baby?

1 Answer:

Hello Ulul,

The amount of amniotic fluid that is less than the normal amount is referred to as an oligohydroamnion. The mother is said to have less amniotic fluid if the amount is less than 500 ml at 32-36 weeks of gestation. Some of the causes of the lack of amniotic fluid include:

rupture of the amniotic membrane of the mother experiencing chronic hypertension or high blood pressure the use of certain drugs for genetic disorders in the fetus such as kidney or urinary tract disorders in the pregnancy of twins. This condition is quite worrying, because it can be bad for the fetus such as less than optimal growth of the fetus and the risk of twins umbilical cord. For this reason, if the gestational age has been assessed as quite months, the doctor will suggest to deliver either by induction or by c-section.

Labor induction aims to speed up the birth process for certain medical reasons, for example premature rupture of the membranes, low amount of amniotic fluid production, pregnancy beyond the estimated limit or the mother experiencing certain health conditions such as very high blood pressure. There are various methods used for induction, and here are some of the side effects that can arise from induction, including:

a more painful labor increases the risk of the fetal umbilical cord falling into the vagina prematurely. The risk of infection decreases the fetal heart rate. However, each procedure does have its own benefits and risks. In making the decision to induce, of course, the doctor has considered everything and takes preventive measures so that minimal risk factors occur.

so hope it is useful, ma'am, I hope your labor will be given an easy way

regards,
