BAB Is Green?
Asslm I want to ask, my child is almost 4 months old from birth to drink milk powder SGM, but lately I am lazy to drink milk, so I change milk to lactogen, 2 days of drinking new lactogen BAB and the green color is rather thick, I want to ask me to continue drinking lactogen or I go back to SGM because when I drink SGM, the BAB is smooth and yellow
The frequency, consistency, and color of the stools of infants, especially young infants, are indeed not regular. There are times when babies may have a rare bowel movement, for example once a week. There are also times when babies defecate frequently and are soft. Likewise with color, sometimes it turns black, greenish or light yellow. Actually this is only natural, as long as no symptoms occur in infants.
Watch if your baby has signs and symptoms such as:
Fussy, difficult to drink, often cry. Weight did not go up according to the normal chart. Bloated. Nauseous vomit. Liquid chapter, may be accompanied by mucus or blood, odor. Allergy symptoms appear on the skin. If there are signs and symptoms above, then you should take the baby to the pediatrician. Doctors need to find the cause, for example, cow's milk allergy. If you do not see the signs and symptoms above, the baby remains active and not lethargic, then chances are your baby is fine.
Thus my explanation, hopefully can help you. Regards.
