Hello Tivani, Thank you for the question.
CHAPTER CHILDREN habit is one that is often a concern of parents. In newborns, the color of the bowel is generally blackish green which will slowly turn brownish green. Baby's bowel color will turn yellow in 3-5 days if you feed your baby. If at the age of 3 weeks, the baby's bowel is still green, then maybe this is caused by inappropriate breastfeeding techniques. BAB baby can be green if the baby consumes too much foremilk (ie dilute milk that first comes out) that contains high lactose. This condition is caused by a breastfeeding process that is not long enough in one breast. Infants who consume too much hindmilk will have green stool. Feel free to try breastfeeding your baby on one breast until the milk runs out, so that your baby gets hindmilk (ie the last milk that comes out), then proceed to the other breast. This condition can also be caused by intestinal infections, allergies, food consumed by the mother. If your baby still has green stools especially accompanied by flatulence, high fever, unwilling breastfeeding, fussing, please immediately consult your child to a pediatrician for further examination and treatment.
Hopefully this information is useful.
