1 Answer:

Hello Adela Efka,

Falling from a height is a trauma mechanism that can cause injury to several organs of the body. Head injury is very likely. Head injury is divided into mild, moderate, and severe head injuries judged by the degree of consciousness after trauma. Abnormalities in the head that can be found varies from start edema (swelling) of the brain to bleeding. Bleeding in the brain can cause death of certain tissue areas in the brain (because it cannot circulate blood) and also causes a depressing effect on the brain if there is a lot of bleeding. In these conditions the patient's condition can deteriorate rapidly.

Changes in personality after head trauma can occur if there are intracranial organic disorders / central nervous system. Investigations such as CT-scan or MRI are needed to find out abnormalities in the area. If other symptoms appear such as weakness of one side of the body, pelo talk, very severe headaches, spraying vomiting, double vision, you should immediately take the patient to see a doctor.

Torticollis or conditions where the neck cannot be moved and look to one side can be caused due to neck muscle disorders or other cervical (neck) trauma. Torticollis can appear post-traumatic. Symptoms that arise are the patient is difficult to move the neck, pain, stiff neck, one side of the shoulder can appear higher, chin looks tilted to one side. The most dangerous cervical trauma is a fracture / fracture in the cervical spine, which may occur in post-altitude patients, traffic accidents, blows to the neck, and so on. Patient's condition varies from complaints of neck pain, paralysis of the body, to direct death.

To reduce pain, you can do a warm compress (if it has been a long time) in the area that is experiencing pain, taking pain relievers. Avoid massage or manipulation of the neck that can endanger the integrity of the cervical vertebrae. If possible, you should immediately consult your father to the doctor to get adequate investigations to get rid of organic disorders that may occur after trauma. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
