Back Pain And Aching Legs?
Excuse me, I’m currently 26 years old. At the age of 20 years I joined fitness, at that time I was too forced to lift weights so that my back became sick. I went to see an orthopedic doctor, then I was X-rayed, but the doctor said the results were good so I was only told to take a rest while taking medicine. I followed the doctor’s advice but the pain that I felt was not gone, although it was mild but still disturbed my life as a young child. I am still able to stoop, squat to stand easily even though there is still a bad feeling in my back and legs. Sleep becomes less restful because of the pain / pain. Some years ago I checked again with an orthopedic doctor, I was X-rayed and the results were good. I was only told to swim, rest, eat medicine and physiotherapy. I followed, but still it felt the same, hurt even though not too painful. Then 3 months ago I checked again and X-rayed again, the results were good. I was given medicine and told to rest. I followed but did not recover. Finally 2 days ago I was examined by MRI, the conclusion was that “Disc bulging and L5 / S1 degeneration Disc + Narrowing of the invertebral L5 / S1 foramen right / left ” out of town. r nPlease doctor’s opinion, what should I do to be able to recover completely from this disease, which I admit is actually not too sick but very disturbing my activities as a young child. r nAlso I want to ask: r n1. Is my illness completely cured? R n2. Can I exercise in the form of pull ups, push ups, sit ups, and dumbbell lifts as long as the load is not excessive? R n3. If according to the doctor you need to operate where is the doctor’s advice for me to do, and also please advise on the cost range yes. It just so happens that I live in the city of Medan. R nThere are my explanations and questions, sorry if it is long and irregular. I beg of the doctor to understand. R nthank you
Hello, Thank you for the question.
The spine is piled up in such a way as to form a channel where the spinal nerves are located. If there is a problem in the spine, the nerves that pass through the disrupted spine can also be disrupted. From the results of MRI examination, it was found that there was a protrusion of the bearing between the lumbar 5 (L5) vertebra and sacrum 1 (S1) vertebrae accompanied by degeneration (such as loss) and narrowing of the vertebrae in the right and left. The spine is located in such a way, serves to hold body weight. Changes in the position of the spine and surrounding structures can cause pain in the patient's back.
This condition cannot be fully healed. Handling given by a doctor aims to overcome complaints experienced by patients. Surgery can be recommended by a doctor if the patient has severe pain that is not treated with medication or if the spinal cord is pinched. Because of this, the best step you should take is to re-consult with an orthopedic specialist who has examined you. The doctor will also look at the results of this MRI to find out the severity of the condition you are experiencing. Because the severity of this condition is currently unclear, you should avoid sports or activities that involve lifting weights. For a while, you can continue your physiotherapy and swimming. You can also take paracetamol or pain medication given by your doctor beforehand.
Hopefully this information is useful.
