Thank God, last week I checked the ultrasound to the obstetrician, I was positive 5 weeks pregnant and already visible GS size 7.4 mm. Because of my aches, I was also given a booster (gestan 200 ml) for 10 days and calcium lactate (calgae) for 2 weeks. When I was asked do you have folic acid? I replied that there was still folavit left for 2 weeks. Then for a few days I felt dizzy like I was spinning every afternoon. Finally I went to the village midwife and was given vitamins plus Etabion blood for 20 days, told to check with the midwife if I was 12 weeks pregnant.rnWhat I asked:rn1. Is it normal to have 7.4 gs at 5 weeks of age?rn2. How do I arrange the schedule for taking these vitamins?rn3. If the vitamins run out and have not reached 12 weeks, what should I take for additional vitamins?rnThank you.😊

Hi, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. First of all, we congratulate you on your pregnancy. Gestational sac (GS) is the first sign of pregnancy that can be detected using ultrasound. GS can be seen from 3-4 weeks of gestation and has a size of 2-3 mm. At 5 weeks of gestation, the size of the GS is about 7-13 mm and at 6 weeks it can reach 18 mm.

For vitamins, there are no special rules for taking them. You can drink it at the same time or divide it into 2-3 separate times. If you run out prematurely then don't worry, vitamins are supplements, which means you should be able to survive without them, unless you are suffering from a severe vitamin deficiency. In fact, vitamins obtained from fruits and vegetables are much better for the body. The following are foods that contain folic acid:

Spinach, asparagus, broccoli, mustard greens, cabbage Salmon Milk, cheese Beef liver Eggs Oranges, bananas, papaya

These foodstuffs, and many other foodstuffs, do not contain only one nutrient. For example, spinach, besides containing folic acid, also contains zinc which functions to increase blood. Therefore, for simplicity, a lifestyle by eating a variety of vegetables and fruit every day should be sufficient for your needs without the need for additional supplements. But again if you get these supplements because you are judged to be very deficient in these nutrients and need to replace them quickly, then supplements are preferred. So if you are still not sure, ask your gynecologist again about this. Hope your pregnancy and delivery goes well.

So, hopefully useful.
