Bintitan Prolonged Accompanied By Blurred Vision?
Good afternoon, my right eye has long been abnormal, but for some reason I have not had time to check it. Well, it’s been 3 days more my right eye is experiencing swelling after the appearance of a lump when I browse called kalazion. My question is, does this kalazion potentially make my eyes blind? Because I feel that my vision is a little disturbed when I wake up from sleep. Then, if it has to be checked, how much will it cost me later. Thank you Doctor … Hopefully the doctor will answer my question.
Good evening, thanks for the question
Kalazion is inflammation or inflammation of the meibomian gland or zeis gland in the eyelid. The main complaint felt by the patient is a dense lump in the eyelid that enlarges slowly and painlessly.
If allowed kalazion can cause visual disturbances, discomfort in the eye, to infection. But what you need to know is that it won't cause blindness because it doesn't cause disturbances in the cornea, lens, or nerves in the eye.
The disorder is limited only to the eyelids that can be treated conservatively or through minor surgery. Treatment efforts can be with an eye compress 2-4 times a day and massage in the eyelid area. With this method kalazion can usually recover in about 1 month.
If there has been no improvement, you should consult an ophthalmologist for excision surgery. The cost of these measures varies greatly at each health facility and health insurance used. For more detailed information, you can ask at the health facility you are going to later.
Consult with an eye doctor for possible actions or other possible diagnoses.
That's all, hope you can help.
