Bite / Teether Toy For Babies Aged 4 Months?
My baby is 4 months old and walks 5 months very often to put his finger in the mouth, bite or baby toy for 4 months of age safe, what is the recommendation? Thank you
Babies who often put their fingers in their mouths may be entering the oral phase, which is the phase where humans (babies) get satisfaction by sucking their fingers. This includes normal psychological development and not need to worry. It's just that the baby should still be watched and keep his hands clean so as not to be a source of disease for the baby and the nails are not too sharp so as not to hurt the skin and mouth.
Many experts are of the opinion that the oral phase should not be banned / not disturbed because if the oral phase is interrupted / unsatisfied, later in life the child can be hampered by his psychological maturity and can grow into a person who is both curt and demanding.
If you want to give a bite toy / teether, you can choose the teether according to the child's age. For 4-month-old children, softer teether, usually made from latex containing gel. You can choose teether that fits the size of the baby's hand and keep the teether clean. If the teether is not feasible, you should immediately replace it.
Hope it helps you,
