Black Lip Baby?
Good afternoon. I want to ask my child just born again 6 days. But my baby’s lips are a bit black. But my baby’s body and face are red. I want to ask Is the danger ??
Thank you for the question.
Baby's lips can be pure black due to genetic factors, namely the offspring of his father or mother. However, in rare cases, the baby's lips can also look black due to lack of oxygen (cyanosis). This condition can occur due to various diseases, for example due to choking, heart problems, lung disorders, or disorders of red blood cells. Sometimes, baby's lips can also become black due to being in an environment that is too cold, allergic or irritated to certain substances that come in contact with his lips, cry excessively, cramp, and also shock (shock).
Need to be clarified, besides the blackened lips, are there other complaints that you find in your baby, such as tightness, inactivity, rarely cry, difficult to suckle, and so on?
If there are no other complaints, the condition is not likely to be dangerous. However, if you find one or more of the above danger signs, then your baby's condition may indeed occur related to an illness that needs to be addressed by a doctor or pediatrician further. If this is the case, check your baby immediately to the nearest health facility.
I hope this helps.
