Black Spots Like Moles On The Nipples?
Good evening .. I am a mother of 2 children aged 26 years and want to ask .. nMy second child is only 4 months old..so I am still giving exclusive breastfeeding..but tonight I just found out that the nipple on one of my breasts has spots black like a mole .. if you are breastfeeding you feel a little painful..what are black spots like moles? Then can I continue to breastfeed my child with both?
Hello Mother Alea,
Dark spots on the nipples can be normal or not. It could actually be that this point has been around for a long time, for example caused by a mole. It can also be caused by ruptured blood vessels, for example from being bitten. In addition, it may be caused by injury, infection, irritation, buildup of pigment, or due to blockage.
To find out, of course, a direct examination is required. In the meantime you can continue to breastfeed your baby, unless they are very sick. You should check with your doctor immediately so that the cause can be immediately identified and treated if necessary.
Breastfeeding your child is a very good practice. Don't forget to empty the breast if the baby does not feed it completely, for example by means of a pump. This is useful for preventing blockages while maintaining milk production. If you have other complaints, go to the doctor immediately.
