Black Stool After Eating Biscuits?
Every time I eat Oreos my pup is always black, whereas for example I don’t eat Oreos, my pup is normal, is that normal when eating Oreos?
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Human feces or feces are the result of the digestive process in the body. So it is true that if there is disturbance or something unusual in the body, especially in the digestive system, one of which can be seen from the appearance of feces. Black stool can occur for many reasons, including:
Eating something that has a large amount of black dye is the same as a person's red stool after consuming dragon fruit
Side effects of taking certain supplements or drugs such as iron or bismuth
Gastrointestinal bleeding, especially in the upper gastrointestinal tract such as the stomach, esophagus or small intestine
Severe liver disorders
So in your case, although it is actually not that common, but because the product is black, if you consume large amounts of it it could change the color of your stool and this is not something you need to worry about. However, if the change in the color of your stool is accompanied by unbearable abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, feeling bloated or diarrhea, don't hesitate to consult a general practitioner or an internal medicine specialist for further treatment.
Meanwhile, keep a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly, staying away from cigarette smoke and stress, increasing the consumption of fruit, meat and vegetables, also getting enough rest and not taking medication other than what the doctor recommended. We wish you and your family good health.
That's all, hope it helps.
