Blackened Skin

Doc, I want to ask, the lower part of the skin on my thighs and calves is somewhat blackened, why is that? And the color of the skin was clearly demarcated, could that be due to wearing pants that were too tight? thank you
1 Answer:
Good evening, thanks for the question
Hyperpigmentation is characterized by darkened skin color due to excessive production of melanin pigments. In the habit of using pants that are too tight, there will be continuous friction between the surface of the skin and clothing, then this will trigger excessive production of melanin pigment. As a result the skin will look black and need time to restore the original skin color. Therefore it is not recommended to use tight clothes and pants too often, you should use clothes and pants that tend to be loose with comfortable materials such as cotton so that it causes little friction on the skin.
That's all, hope you can help.
Wassalam.
