The puerperium is needed for the recovery of organs such as the uterus. The puerperium lasts for 4-6 weeks after you give birth. During the puerperium, it is usually natural if there are still a little spots, or maybe it still feels painful.
But after 4 weeks you give birth, in fact it is still natural to bleed a little blood or blood spots. However, if you are bleeding a lot more this time it might be due to several causes such as:
tear of the birth canal / release of stitches
blood clotting disorders
infection of the uterus
side effects of certain drugs
One cause that can cause rebleeding is due to tears in the birth canal. When giving birth, there may be a tear in the area around the vagina. This will usually be sutured. in some instances, a re-tear may occur in the area causing re-bleeding.
Therefore, if the bleeding you experience does not improve within 2 days, then you should check directly with your doctor. Gynecologist, so your doctor can examine your condition directly and provide the right therapy for you.
