Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
3-month injection contraception is a method of contraception that has an active substance in the form of the hormone progestin. This type of contraception has a way of working that is pressing the release of eggs from the ovary, thicken the cervical mucus, inhibit sperm penetration, and thin the lining of the uterine lining.
Side effects that occur quite frequently in users of 3-monthly injection contraception are menstrual cycle disorders. The form of menstrual cycle disorders that occur can vary because the response in each person can vary, including: menstruation becomes irregular or prolonged in the first 3 months, rarely menstruating, or not menstruating within 1 year. Generally, if 3-month injection contraception is stopped, menstruation will usually return to normal after 5-7 months after cessation, along with the return of fertility. Other side effects that might also occur with the use of 3-monthly injection contraception include headache, dizziness, and weight gain.
So, do not rule out the possibility that menstrual disorders that you experience in the first 2 weeks of using 3-month injection contraception is a side effect of these contraceptives. However, this of course still requires a direct examination by a doctor. Therefore, we recommend that you consult directly with your doctor, midwife, or obstetrician and gynecologist about your menstrual disorders.
As a suggestion, you should get enough rest, eat a balanced nutritious diet, exercise regularly, and drink lots of water at least 8 glasses a day. To enrich insight, you can read articles about injection contraception. Thus information from us. Hopefully always healthy. May be useful.
