Bleeding Continuously After The Hydrotubation Procedure?
Hello Doctor. I’m 35 years old. Married for 5 years. Not given a baby. January 28, then I did hydrotubation. Two days in a row bleeding out like menstruation. The doctor said it did not normally occur after the hydrotubation process. The third day is clean. But 3 days of bleeding again. Though this entered my fertile period. Why is that? Is that okay?
Hello Iceris good evening, thank you for the question
Hydrotubation is a procedure for diagnostics and therapy in cases of blocked ducts in the fallopian tubes. This procedure is generally performed on suspicion of infertility in women due to disorders in the fallopian tubes.
The hydrotubation procedure is carried out by injecting a certain amount of liquid with pressure into the fallopian tubes. Then the back pressure that occurs can be measured to assess the degree of blockage. In a partial blockage, this action can open the blockage.
This procedure cannot be performed during menstruation, pregnancy, pelvic inflammation, bleeding, or post-curettage.
If there is minimal bleeding or spotting after this procedure, it is actually quite normal. Spotting can occur up to 2-3 days after hydrotubation. What is abnormal is if the bleeding occurs in large quantities and continuously. The condition needs to be suspected due to inflammation problems so an obstetrician is required to evaluate it.
Furthermore, patients also need to do regular follow-up to assess the possibility of endometriosis.
Therefore do further consultation with a doctor, especially if the bleeding is permanent.
That's all, hope you can help
