Bleeding Like Menstruation After Intercourse After Birth Control After Intercourse?
Hello doctor. I want to ask .. if you have a family member before it is dangerous, how do you get rid of the effect … even though my wife has stopped injecting for 6 months. Then why every time my wife and I have intercourse after that my wife immediately has a period .. I am afraid of interference in my wife’s womb .. please input .. thank you
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Based on the hormone content of the active ingredient, there are two types of injection contraception, namely: (1) combined injection contraception, which contains a combination of estrogen and progesterone derivatives, given once a month; and (2) contraceptive injection of progestin, which contains progesterone hormone derivatives, given once every 3 months. Both are effective contraceptives for delaying pregnancy.
In general, if the use of injection contraception is stopped, fertility will return to normal within about 5-7 months as well as the menstrual cycle which will also return to its original state after that time period. This is not caused by the use of contraception before having a first child, but is a common side effect found in the use of injection contraception.
If you and your wife want a pregnancy, it is recommended to recognize your wife's estimated fertility period. To increase the chance of reaching pregnancy, it is advisable to have sexual relations during the fertile period. Estimated fertility is based on the wife's menstrual cycle history. Your wife is recommended to record a history of menstrual cycles in the past few months, at least 3 months, because menstrual cycles may have varied periods each month. Furthermore, you and your wife can follow the steps as follows:
Record the number of days of the shortest and longest menstrual cycle. Example: the shortest cycle 26 days, the longest 30 days.
To estimate the first day of fertility, reduce the number of days of the shortest cycle by 18. Example: Because the shortest cycle consists of 26 days, then the first day of your wife's fertility is the 26th day (26-18) = 8.
To estimate the last day of the fertile period, reduce the number of days of the longest cycle by 11. Example: Because the longest cycle consists of 30 days, meaning that the last day of your fertile period is the 30th day (30-11) = 19.
So, if your wife's menstrual history is the same as this example, your wife's menstrual cycle average is 26-30 days and your wife is in the most fertile condition on days 8 to 19 of her menstrual cycle. For the record, the first day of the cycle is counted from the first day of the last menstruation. Example: If the first day of your wife's last menstruation is January 1, chances are your wife's fertile period lasts from January 8-19. Nevertheless, the chance of achieving pregnancy by sexual relations outside of that date range is still there even though the probability is relatively smaller.
Do not hesitate to consult with a doctor or obstetrician and gynecologist if you and your wife want to plan a pregnancy. In the process of becoming pregnant, you and your wife are advised to eat balanced nutritious food regularly, supplement with food supplements that fit your wife's needs (first consult the use of supplement products that fit your wife's individual needs), exercise regularly, and get enough rest .
