Blood Tests Are Needed To Diagnose Diabetes?

Good morning, I want to do a diabetes specialist. Before going there I want to do a blood test first. What types of checks should I do?

Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
First of all, I want to make sure in advance, do you mean the "diabetes specialist" is a doctor of disease in an endocrinologist? You should do a health check only to the doctor only and not to other "experts" who claim to be able to overcome certain diseases.
Basically, there are several types of tests to determine the presence of diabetes, but the easiest and most effective examination to determine whether there is diabetes is the HbA1c examination. If the HbA1c examination is not available in the laboratory around your home, then you can do a fasting blood sugar test followed by a blood test 2 hours post prandial. If the HbA1c check is available, then you don't need to do another type of blood sugar.
If you want to do a complete health screening, you can also do other blood tests such as a complete blood test, blood cholesterol profile, gout, liver and kidney function, and if you want to do a more complete examination (or you have a risk), you can also do other tests such as HIV and hepatitis B.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
