Bluish Color Seen On The Sides And Bottom Of The Tongue?
I want to ask why on the side of my tongue the veins look blue, why?
Hello Andi, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The bluish color that is visible on the sides and bottom of your tongue is most likely the veins that are located close to the mucosal surface of the tongue (the skin that covers the tongue). The veins will indeed look bluish from the outside. If you don't have any specific problems with your tongue, don't have pain, don't have lumps, sores or canker sores, or other problems, the condition is most likely normal. If you are worried that the bluish color is abnormal or there is a certain abnormality on your tongue, you can go to a general practitioner for a direct examination of your tongue, including the bluish veins you mentioned.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
