Blurred Vision After Being Hit Around The Eyes
Doc, I want to ask? Previously, on December 25, 2019, I was hit in the eye, until the red eye was all said, the doctor said the blood vessels had ruptured and the check was still normal, well, when it was healed, how come the view was a bit blurry? one in the middle one goes down, the one down is the eye that was hit. the same eyelid turned into a slanted look. That’s why doc?
Thank you for the question.
Blurred vision, asymmetrical focal points, and narrowed eyelids can occur due to the impact of the eye you have experienced before, or not. Impact in the eye that is hard enough can indeed trigger injuries to eye components (such as the conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, even the retina), including blood vessels, nerves, and surrounding muscles that indirectly affect also general eye function. In addition, other conditions such as strabismus, brain tumors, infections in components of the eye, the use of inappropriate contact lenses, cataracts, glaucoma, even benign or malignant tumors around the eyes can also trigger complaints as you experience today.
If the complaint is felt to be very disruptive to the activity, you can consult yourself directly to a doctor or optometrist. A sharp examination of vision, slit lamp, ophthalmoscopy, or other supporting tests may be done by the doctor so that it can give you the best treatment.
At home, you can try first:
Rest your eyes from tiring physical activities, including reading too long, gazing into gadgets, staying up late
Cold compresses your eyes that feel uncomfortable
If you have problems with refraction to the eye (for example minus or cylindrical eyes), use glasses or contact lenses as directed by your doctor
Keep your eyes clean, and avoid getting injured again
Do not carelessly use eye drops / ointments without doctor's advice
Hope this helps ...
